At McCall Tax & Bookkeeping Services, we want to build a strong, long-term, and reliable relationship with each of our clients and believe that these services are crucial to maintaining those relationships.  All new relationships begin with an advisory program to help our clients find paths to solutions in their business.  We are generally not a fit for those who are strictly looking for a one time/one-off tax preparation or standalone services such as only bookkeeping or payroll or taxes.

Advisory

MTBS advisory services come from understanding what a small business owner needs in their tax planning.  We offer a custom plan designed for you and your business.  We provide one-on-one coaching to ensure you have the right solutions in place.  Your advisory program will focus on three primary areas.

  • Are you tax efficient?  We assess the tax efficiency of your current business model.

    From our evaluation we help you determine what other types of tax efficient tools and solutions you might benefit from.  Our evaluation will include a “priority list” of these proposed solutions.

  • A wonderful idea is not enough, it needs to be implemented!

    Not only do our advisory services furnish you with the solutions and tools you will need to become tax efficient, but we also provide the documentation and implementation of the tools necessary to ensure the best outcome.  We will guide you through each step of your game plan and be certain you know what is needed for implementation.

  • The final step of our advisory process is to review your plan on a regular basis.  We know things change as time goes on.  Understanding this will mean your plan may need to be adjusted as your business evolves.  In addition, our current environment of constant tax law changes will mean our tax review should be a high priority to stay on track.

Taxes

At MTBS we try to make the entire tax process as easy as possible.  To accomplish that, proper tax planning is essential.

Planning for your taxes is more important than the act of preparing them.  As part of our advisory services, our tax planning is key to achieving the desired end results and staying on course with our plan.

Your annual maintenance will include tax review meetings and annual tax preparation.  We prepare returns for S-Corporations, C-Corporations, Partnership, and Individual tax returns.

Bookkeeping

MTBS provides accounting solutions to all types of small business clients.  We can help you design a system that will work for you.  Our preferred bookkeeping system is QuickBooks.

Our accounting/bookkeeping services are broken down into three general arrangements.

  • Many of our clients do not have a great deal of complication with their accounting, yet they want to have an efficient system.  We will set up and train you (or whomever will be doing your data entry) on how to use your QuickBooks system.

  • For clients with some additional complexity and reporting requirements, we offer a monthly or quarterly reconcile program to ensure accuracy and reconciled books along with financial statements.

  • For clients who choose to outsource data entry, reconciliation, and financial reporting, we can customize a full-service system to meet the needs of your business.

Payroll

MTBS provides payroll solutions to all types of small business clients.  Whether it is one or many employees, we will customize a payroll solution for you and your staff.

Processing your business payroll is one of the most crucial tasks in a business.  As your employees will tell you, it NEEDS to be correct.  We take care of all the hard stuff.  You will simply need to provide a few details at the close of each pay period and the rest will be taken care of.
